THE AUPAIR
SERVICE –
Aupairs are unqualified and they always live in as part
of the family. Aupairs are most suited to families with children over
pre-school age as they are not usually trained to work with children and
therefore are not generally considered suitable to look after children
under the age of three for long periods of time, while parents are
out. They can be a good option for providing after-school childcare.
UK Home Office standard guidelines for Au Pairs are as follows. - An Aupair
placement is an arrangement whereby a single person aged from 17 to 27 inclusive,
comes to the United Kingdom to study English; and lives for up to two years
as a member of an English-speaking family while they learn English; and
helps in the home for a maximum of 5 hours per day, with at least two full
days off per week, in return for a reasonable allowance (pocket money) and
the use of a room of his or her own.

We have numerous au-pairs
of a very high standard registered with us of varying nationality. We have a constantly updated
database of over 300 pre-vetted applicants available at any given time.
Some are trainee teachers and are taking a year out before university, and
others simply wish to improve their English before going home to take up
full time employment. We can also search the databases of our overseas
partners (of which we currently have one hundred and eight two!) for new
Aupair applicants of any permissible nationality. All our au-pairs are
carefully vetted by our overseas associate agencies, or checked personally
by our own staff, if they have applied to our Agency directly. We have very
strict criteria for selection and acceptance of Aupairs onto our database
and therefore believe we are able to offer a much higher than average
standard of applicant overall

THE NANNY SERVICE
 If you are seriously considering
a Nanny, the first thing you need to do is contact us to speak to one of
our advisers in more detail about your requirements. We will ask you
questions about your needs and explain the service to you in more detail
and prepare to send you a copy of our information pack (which includes our
terms and conditions) enabling you to register with us - THERE IS NO FEE
FOR REGISTERING WITH OUR AGENCY - As soon as we receive back
your registration forms, we will begin to search for suitable applicants
for you. We will always do our
best to find the most suitable nanny for your children. We offer a high quality level of personal service to
all clients.

We generate a large
number of applicants from various sources nationally, including a great
many recommendations from other nannies and indeed clients.
We only accept
applications from qualified nannies. All applications are vetted before we are
able to accept them as registered with the agency.
THE BABYSITTING SERVICE –
Babysitters are qualified carers, who already work
within the childcare sector, on either a full or part time basis, and who
are available for ad hoc evening or weekend bookings made via our
professional childcare consultancy.
If you are seriously
considering an ad hoc or regular babysitter the first thing you need to do
is contact us to speak to one of our advisers in more detail about your
requirements. We will ask you questions about your needs and explain the
service to you in more detail and prepare to send you a copy of our
information pack (which includes our terms and conditions) enabling you to
register with us, – there is a small annual fee for registration regarding
all positions other than those for Aupairs - Registration is valid for a period of twelve months
only and includes access to other services requiring fee paid registration
- we will also begin to search for suitable applicants for you.
We have three different
service levels. You can pay a single booking fee on each occasion you book
a nanny to baby-sit, or you can pay an annual fee once for unlimited use of
the service.
You pay your nanny an
hourly rate set by the agency to be paid to your babysitter in cash at the
end of each booking.
For the majority of our
clients’ bookings, we are able to send the same Nanny/babysitter on each
occasion, as long as we are given enough notice to do so. Antoinettes
Agency has an active database of nannies, which far exceeds any requirement
you are likely to have. Unfortunately we are not able to guarantee the same
sitter on every occasion. In those circumstances we will begin to offer a
regular alternative.
We are extremely proud
to be able to say that to date all bookings made by our clients have been
fulfilled satisfactorily. We have not yet had to turn down any bookings.
